Mission Statement

Our Mission To advance economic opportunities of low-income families by fostering partnerships and supporting positive community change

About This Cause

Central City Neighborhood Partners (CCNP) is a community-based collaborative established in 1994 and incorporated as a formal non-profit collaborative in 2000 to address the socio-economic conditions impacting low-income families living in the Westlake Community Planning Area of Los Angeles, and within the last six years expanding to other communities throughout the County and City of Los Angeles. With the mission to advance economic opportunities of low-income families by fostering partnerships and supporting positive community change, CCNP implements a one-stop model across multiple sites, focused on streamlining the delivery of services, eliminating duplication efforts, and improving efficiency by bringing a cross sector of agencies together to provide high-quality, coordinated and integrated services. Our success is rooted in our ability to provide a two-generational approach to service that provides a continuum of programming. CCNP in-house services include, but is not limited to outreach and engagement, community education, navigation, assessments, case management, landlord-tenant mediation, financial coaching, multi-benefit screening including application assistance, income tax preparation assistance, pre-employment and employment support services, food distribution, emergency financial assistance including other supportive services, youth leadership and college corner programming. CCNP collaborates with a myriad of other organizations to provide additional services, including immigration and legal workshops, health information and access, nutrition workshops, transportation and utility discount access, and other services that benefit multi-generational families with limited resources. CCNP serves approximately 49,000 community members per year through special events and food distribution services, nearly 9,000 of which enroll for ongoing services. 100% of community members served by CCNP identified as low-to-moderate income with a median income of $17,000, 96+% are renters, and 97% identified as Black, Hispanic, Asian, and/or from other underrepresented communities.
