Mission Statement

Haku Baldwin Center’s vision is to foster therapeutic partnerships between people and animals which we believe promotes the growth and development of healing relationships among all living beings. We engage in charitable, educational, and scientific work of a public nature involving the establishment and operation of an equestrian and animal center for therapeutic treatment, education and nurturing of challenged individuals.

About This Cause

Haku Baldwin Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization located on the island of Maui, Hawaii. Our therapeutic programs have provided valuable equine-assisted services to those in need in our community for over 30 years. Services include therapeutic/adaptive horseback riding for children with disabilities and other special needs, and a horsemanship and riding program for military service members, including active duty, retired, and disabled veterans. We are the longest-running and most well known center of this kind on the island. Our programs are run by a Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor and Mentor, credentialed by the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH Intl.), ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality.
