Mission Statement

Hawaii Children’s Cancer Foundation (HCCF) serves to assist, support, and advocate for the needs of children diagnosed with cancer, their families, and long-term survivors of childhood cancer. HCCF is the only nonprofit organization in Hawaii whose exclusive focus is children with cancer. All funds raised stay here in Hawaii and are used to help Hawaii families.

About This Cause

Hawaii Children's Cancer Foundation (HCCF) was founded in 1991 by parents of children who had cancer or who had lost the battle to cancer, as well as medical professionals caring for these children. Because of their firsthand experience with childhood cancer, these founding members understood the needs of the families they sought to help. HCCF's focus on identifying and meeting the needs of Hawaii's children with cancer and their families continues today. Several members of HCCF's Board of Directors are parents or grandparents of children who have had cancer. HCCF's mission is to assist, support and advocate for the needs of children diagnosed with cancer, their families, and long-term survivors of childhood cancer. To serve this mission, HCCF offers a wide range of programs and services for the families touched by childhood cancer from the point of diagnosis, through treatment, and beyond. As the only organization in Hawaii exclusively focused on children with cancer and their families, HCCF offers financial assistance, educational workshops, support groups, and other unique programs to help these families cope with their child's cancer.
