Mission Statement
The mission of the USMC Old Breed Rugby Club is twofold: 1. Honor and remember our Fallen teammates. 2. Support the families of our Fallen teammates.
About This Cause
More than a rugby club, The Old Breed is a family of Marines that honor the memories of our Marine rugby players we have lost since September 11, 2001. In addition to honoring the memories of our Fallen Marines, we provide a brotherhood for Marines and others affected by a generation of warfighting. We lend an ear to listen, a shoulder to cry on, a purpose for serving. Over the years, our ranks have grown to include members of other US armed services, international military members, and select civilians. All share a common bond of service, sacrifice, tenacity, and Espirit de Corps. The USMC Old Breed Rugby Club is dedicated to funding an annual scholarship to children of fallen military members. This scholarship in the club's name is administered by the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation. In 2024, our club is hosting the families of our Fallen at the club's 20th anniversary in Saranac Lake, NY. Your support will offset the travel and lodging costs for the families so they can see how we honor their loved ones.
