Mission Statement
Mission Statement- The mission of the Pacific Islands Community of Oregon (PICO) is to provide the leadership necessary to support the Pacific Islander families and communities of Oregon, enabling them to empower and advocate for themselves to preserve and promote their cultural heritage and all way prosper through social, economic, and political opportunities.
About This Cause
PICO’s goal is to make access to private education at Central Catholic High School in Southeast Portland accessible to Native Hawaiian-Pacific Island youths and their families. PICO realizes that education is critical to breaking the cycle of generational poverty, especially in marginalized communities such as the Native Hawaiians and Pacific Island. We ask for your financial assistance, and donation to help youth accomplish their educational goals. PICO is raising a $100,000.00 scholarship fund to help aid a student financially with tuition for four years at Central Catholic High School. Thank you in advance for your generosity.
