Mission Statement
The Mission of Lila's Fund is to provide monetary support to families in a time of need while caring for their children with critical illnesses, along with providing toys to patients of C.S Mott Congenital Heart Center. Lila's Fund was created in loving memory of Lila June Kelley. Lila was diagnosed prenatally with a very complex heart defect cause by her chromosome anomaly Mosaic trisomy 16. Due to many medical complications Lila passed away peacefully in her parent's arms. After walking this unbearable journey Lila's parents created Lila's Fund to help other families going through the same journey.
About This Cause
Lila's Fund provides support to ALL families who are staying at Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC). Lila’s fund provides gift cards for the “Our House to Yours” bags. These gift cards would include Domino’s Pizza cards, Gas cards or Meijer gift cards (depending on the immediate need of the family at checkout) as a continuation of support at a time when needed most. This gift would ensure we have gift cards available for many families when they need vital support in their journey. Lila's Fund also provides toys to patients at C.S Mott Children's Hospital Congenital Heart Center.
