Mission Statement
Earth Fire Alliance is founded on the belief that high-fidelity data, equitably accessible on a global scale, will transform humanity’s collective approach and relationship to wildfire. Our mission is comprised of three pillars: Observe all of our planet’s wildfires comprehensively. Serve communities worldwide with timely and trustworthy information. Conserve Earth’s ecosystems and biodiversity by informing climate resilience strategies. We believe a united global response to the wildfire crisis is possible, and that a data-driven response will expand our focus and funding from reactive suppression to proactive stewardship that includes adaptation and beneficial fire practices.
About This Cause
Earth Fire Alliance is a nonprofit coalition founded in 2024 to provide high-fidelity, accessible data from all wildfires on Earth. Our flagship program, the FireSat constellation, will deliver transformative, near real-time wildfire detection and monitoring to first responders, incident commanders, and scientists around the globe. FireSat is a first-of-its kind satellite constellation purpose-built to address the global wildfire challenge. Developed in collaboration with hundreds of end users and designed and built by Muon Space, FireSat will specifically address the needs of the wildfire community. FireSat’s full operational capabilities will be unmatched by any combination of satellite systems, existing or planned, in terms of data resolution and latency. We are committed to serving the global wildfire community through user-driven technology, radical collaboration, and rapid action.
