Mission Statement
Transform the prodigal sons of Rochester into authentic believers who actively disciple, witness, and embody the hands and feet of Jesus Christ within the community. Through the transformative power of God’s Word, we aim to bridge the gaps between homelessness, incarceration, and addiction, facilitating the reintegration of Godly leaders back into the communities they support. About This Cause
THE LORD'S DISCIPLESHIP HOUSE THE NEED: In Rochester, many individuals struggle with homelessness, addiction, and the aftermath of incarceration. These challenges often create a cycle of isolation, despair, and disconnection from community and faith. Traditional recovery programs may address symptoms but frequently fail to provide the spiritual foundation and comprehensive support necessary for lasting transformation. OUR VISION: We seek to transform and restore lives for Christ. OUR VALUES: Scripture as Truth: We uphold the Bible as the ultimate authority on God and our relationship with Him. Value of Experience: We recognize and honor each individual's life experiences, skills, and abilities as vital contributions to the community. OUR APPROACH: The Lord's Discipleship House offers a unique model for recovery and community reintegration through: Spiritual Foundation, One-to-one discipleship relationships, Daily worship and gratitude gatherings, Weekly ministry participation with local church partnerships, Structured Environment, Point-earning system rewarding positive engagement, Communal meals fostering fellowship and belonging, Balanced daily routine combining work, study, and reflection, Practical Development, Farming and agricultural skills training, Community service opportunities, Job skills development and educational support, Relational Healing, Facilitated reconciliation with family when possible, Building accountability partnerships, and Integration into supportive faith communities EXPECTED OUTCOMES: Participants in The Lord's Discipleship House program will: Develop a deep, authentic relationship with Jesus Christ. Gain practical skills for sustainable employment. Experience healing in broken relationships. Build a supportive community network. Contribute meaningfully to their communities. Grow in their ability to disciple others. THE INVITATION: We invite you to join us in creating a refuge for those feeling lost and seeking transformation. Like the father in the parable of the Prodigal Son (Luke 15:19-20), we aim to provide a welcoming environment free from condemnation where individuals can experience God's love and restoration. Your support will help us establish a comprehensive program that addresses the spiritual, emotional, and practical needs of those seeking a new beginning. Together, we can witness the transformation of lives and the strengthening of our community through the power of discipleship and God's grace.
