About This Cause
OWOF engages in raising funds to support specific activities related to but not limited to the following: 1. Education: Free education for youth who are in need of education but not able to afford it. Boarding and lodging will additionally be provided at no cost. The program includes funding for students for medical college. These students, who avail themselves of free medical college education will also serve in associated hospitals for the same number of years as their education. As of Dec 2024, 28 schools for children and one medical college providing free education 2. Nutrition: Morning nutrition is key to development of a child. It is difficult for a hungry student to study. OWOF funds the provision of free morning nutrition to school going children. Morning nutrition alleviates hunger & wasting among children, improves academic performance and motivates teachers to put in their best. It increases enrolments and attendance. As of Dec/2024 Our Impact: 10+ Million children are served nutritious breakfast every single school morning Partnered with 137,000+ government schools across 25 states and 4 union territories Our partners, have also started morning nutrition in Malawi, Africa. 3. Healthcare: Pediatric congenital heart disease occurs in a high percentage of newborns caused by various factors. OWOF provides funding for free medical treatment of CHD in children. Additionally, as a preventive care for pregnant women and children OWOF provides free medical treatment and consultations to pregnant mothers and provides resources to help deliver babies. 12 Specialty hospitals in India, 3 hospitals and 2 medical centers overseas – in Fiji, Sri Lanka and Nigeria
