Mission Statement

The Overdose Prevention Collective (OPC) is a Washington-based nonprofit organization dedicated to ending drug-related overdose through public education and training, free naloxone and fentanyl testing strip distribution, and the dissemination of essential information on safe drug use practices. By addressing the needs of all individuals in King County and offering place-specific drug use trends data, we strive to create a more supportive, informed, and safe community.

About This Cause

The Overdose Prevention Collective (OPC) is a 501(c)(3) charitable nonprofit organziation based in Seattle, WA. OPC is committed to serving all segments of the community, promoting greater public awareness, and fostering an informed and prepared public capable of contributing to overdose prevention and response. Our volunteers offer training, education, and outreach programs universally to the public, aimed at equipping individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to prevent and effectively respond to opioid overdoses. We distribute naloxone and fentanyl testing strips freely to anyone in need, as part of our commitment to public health and safety. We also provide accessible information and resources on safe drug use and emergency response techniques, ensuring that everyone, regardless of background or circumstance, can assist in the event of an overdose.
