About This Cause
The mission of The Maryland Province Jesuits is to serve humanity through its ministries. The Jesuits work tirelessly toward the full care of those they reach - body, mind and soul. One of seven U.S. provinces of the Society of Jesus, the Maryland Province covers southern New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Washington D.C., West Virginia, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia. Together with many lay colleagues, this Roman Catholic religious order is dedicated to advancing a variety of ministries such as education, mission work, pastoral care, social justice and spiritual development. They are teachers, pastors, doctors, artists, mission workers, retreat directors and administrators, drawing upon their tradition of Ignatian spirituality to do God’s work within the province, across our nation and around the world.
