Plymouth Church, the Jazz and Justice Church, is a diverse, open and affirming church. We honor that each person, and all of creation, are made in the image of God and should be treated with dignity, equality, and respect.
About This Cause
At Plymouth Church, we welcome all people who are wild about Jesus and people who are aren't sure what they believe, but seeking a spiritual community. We are a diverse, an open and affirming congregation. Our justice work seeks to build a diverse beloved community in Oakland and in the world. Plymouth Church seeks to bee a home and an incubator for "Faith Activists" - people willing to work collaboratively with other churches, community groups, people of other faiths, and other local and national movements to carry our Jesus' gospel of justice and compassion. We also seek to infuse the spirit of Jazz, its spontaneity, freedom and improvisation in our theology, our worship, our ministries and community outreach activities.
