About This Cause
Branham High School has embraced the mission of educating and preparing our students to be active, involved citizens. From the time our campus reopened in 1999, teachers gravitated here to build a school that welcomes challenge and craves innovation. Programs were created and decisions were made after input from our stakeholders was carefully gathered and consensus was reached. Teacher-led initiatives are the norm at Branham; school activities are designed, driven and executed by students and teachers. The leadership team was selected to work with a motivated staff and lead change here as well as across the Campbell Union High School District (CUHSD). Branham High School offers a wide breadth of curriculum choices in a standards-based academic environment. This comprehensive high school offers programs designed to prepare students for college and educational opportunities beyond high school. The curriculum includes college prep courses, vocational and technology programs, applied arts and fine arts electives, and a variety of programs for students with special needs. Advanced Placement courses are offered in English, U.S.History, American Government, Biology, Chemistry, Spanish, Statistics and Calculus. In addition, there is a yearbook publication class and a media journalism class that publishes a school newspaper. The faculty and staff serve 1400 students and their families. We prepare students for life beyond high school by providing a robust comprehensive curriculum that includes courses that meet both a-g University of California and Advanced Placement College Board requirements. Branham also provides Specialized Academic Instruction for students who qualify. The Special Education program is monitored by several experienced school psychologists and closely monitored by the vice principal, program specialist and the director of Special Education.
