Mission Statement
We are a non-profit organization, run by a board of volunteer parents dedicated to raising funds to help maintain and enhance the quality of education at Pine Valley.
About This Cause
The PVEF has two main purposes: 1. Class Size Reduction: We reduce the number of students in academic core classes by paying for additional "sections," with each section being the cost of hiring another teacher. Our goal for the 2014/2015 is to fund six additional sections, thus lowering the teacher/student ratio, something that will be very important with our attendance numbers this year! 2. Technology Support: Based on input from parents, staff and Site Council, PVEF purchases devices that allow our students to research, create, learn and thrive in a technology-based society. We are currently in our final year of a lease for Apple laptops and iPad and will look to replace outdated devices in the coming years.
