Mission Statement
Grounded in Catholic religious principles and values, Cathedral School's mission is to provide an excellent academic education that instills a lifelong love for learning and a respect for each person and all creations as gifts of God.
About This Cause
Cathedral School is an accredited Catholic School by the Western Catholic Education Association. Cathedral School has one classroom per grade level, pre-kindergarten through eighth grade. Class size averages 26 students per class, kindergarten through fifth grade, 20 students in pre-kindergarten, and 28 students in sixth through eighth grades. Due to our downtown location our community of families come from throughout the Portland Metropolitan area. Since its founding, Cathedral School has evolved from a parish school to a school that draws students from the Portland tri-county area as well as Clark County in Washington. While many changes have taken place, the school's values of diversity, respect, reverence for others and belief in God have remained constant through its "Century of Excellence in Education."
