Through the Catholic faith, St. Anastasia Catholic School is dedicated to the religious, academic, physical, and social development of the student.
About This Cause
Our learning community has a great deal to offer. Grounded in our Catholic tradition, Saint Anastasia Catholic School has been helping shape young lives in the Westchester/Playa del Rey community for seventy years. This neighborhood school offers an excellent Jr. Kindergarten – 8th grade academic and spiritual program enhanced by a wide variety of extra curricular offerings that support the spiritual, physical, and creative growth of each child. Our highly experienced faculty and staff put students first and promote life long learning through their example. Each classroom has smart boards and wireless connections are accessible throughout the campus. Students in the junior high have increased instructional time in science where they participate in hands on learning in our updated science lab. Our students consistently score significantly above grade level in math and language on national standardized tests. A strong fine arts program is highlighted by weekly classes in Art and Music, our annual Christmas show, and an annual student musical production. Students from grades 3 through 8 participate in CYO athletic teams including football, volleyball, soccer, basketball, softball, golf, track, and cross country. St Anastasia students love their school and parish community as is evidenced through their extensive involvement. The school has an award-winning school board that assist the administration and the Parent Teacher Organization organizes community building and school support events throughout the year. Parents play a vital role in the life of the school while supporting learning and fun in a myriad of ways.
