About This Cause
The Suthers Center for Christian Outreach is an affiliated mission of St. Martin in the Fields Episcopal Church providing both emergency assistance and food to families and individuals of the local community. Financial help includes assistance with utility and cell phone bills. Suthers, through its Hall Assistance Transition Service (HATS), refers homeless individuals and families to various shelters and may provide limited initial support such as food or covering the cost of transportation to a shelter. Food support is provided weekly via a drive-through food pantry in the St. Martins Church parking lot. Individuals and families come as often as needed and provided food for a week, designed to meet nutritional recommendations of the Atlanta Community Food Bank. Suthers is 100% volunteer supported.
