Mission Statement
Reaching into our community is not an option for us. Jesus told us to care for each other, and we take that seriously. We pray for those around us, that they may live an abundant life. But we are also reminded that thoughts and prayers alone do not keep us warm at night. It is our mission to do what we can for those around us, putting love into concrete actions. We envision and work toward a community where no one goes hungry.
About This Cause
We've partnered with Capital Area Food Bank and Manna Food Center since 2022 to conduct two food giveaways per month: one drive-through event and one indoor food pantry. Each event serves from 175-350 families. In 2024, we had over 14,000 visits by about 4,400 registered guests who came from 10 counties and 98 zip codes. We gave away about 150,000 pounds of fresh, canned, and shelf-stable food. We'd love to make this ministry even bigger.
