Mission Statement
Amazing Grace is a multicultural, come as you are church connecting people to the life changing power of Jesus Christ. Amazing Grace seeks to be a safe, healthy, healing place in the east Baltimore neighborhood of McElderry Park. Leaning into God's vision for us and the world, we walk together following Jesus, working to bring healing, peace and justice to ourselves, neighbors, and the community.
About This Cause
At Amazing Grace we practice radical hospitality. Our doors are open all throughout the week to offer a listening ear, a hot cup of coffee, a prayer and connections to community resources to help improve the lives of neighbors. We currently operate a robust food ministry including a weekly client-choice food & supply pantry, community lunch, produce boxes and cooking classes. Our health and wellness workshops bring information, resources and healing to neighbors. They include, but are not limited to, a weekly suboxone clinic, harm reduction, yoga, music & more and occur on a rotating basis. We're blessed to help steward a full city block of green space behind the church that includes a prayer labyrinth, community art, open grass for play & events, garden boxes for growing food, pollinator & rain gardens & more! We also currently share our office to host partners like Safe Streets East and Charm City Land Trusts.
