About This Cause
St. Mark's Backpack Buddies ministry works with social workers at local elementary and middle schools to identify children in need and collect food donations. Church members and community volunteers pack food bags, coordinate deliveries, and raise funds for the program. Our Backpack Buddies ministry serves up to 200 food-insecure children at 10 elementary and middle schools in our community. Every Friday, each of these children receives a bag of nutritious, kid-friendly food to take home for the weekend.
