The Hope & Joy Food Pantry is a 501(c)(3) non profit that provides essential groceries like food, toiletries, and cleaning supplies to those in need in the local area. We service up to 100 families each week. Our mission is to provide the highest quality service and free food to our neighbors. Volunteer duties typically include picking and packing grocery orders, bringing groceries out to client's cars when they arrive for their appointments, and re-stocking the shelves with food. In summer, we also grow a community garden and need help maintaining it: de-weeding, watering, and general clean-up of the beds.

We’re seeking corporate volunteers to support the Laces LISD Partnership event by helping us sort, categorize, and scan donated shoes into inventory. This critical preparation step ensures an efficient and organized distribution of shoes to students in need.

The Laces event is one of our largest annual community initiatives, co-hosted to provide new athletic shoes to low-income LISD students, so they’re equipped and confident for PE and the new school year. Your team's participation helps make a meaningful impact in our local schools.

Volunteers help in many ways- running carnival game tents, handing out prizes, sharing their talents in the face painting tent, welcoming guests at admission booths, supervising the obstacle course, assisting families with field games and other fun activities! Volunteer for an hour or two, or stay all day!

Join us in bringing a day of fun to the community! Your support will play a crucial role in helping us reach our goals and make a positive impact!
