📣 Message to Employees: Join the #1for1Challenge

Imagine being a child who skips school—not because they’re lazy, but because their shoes are falling apart.

Now imagine that same child walking into class in a fresh pair of Nikes, their chin up, their spirit lifted, their confidence renewed.

At Kicks For Kids, we’ve seen what a pair of sneakers can do. They’re not just footwear—they’re armor. They’re dignity. They’re inclusion.

What started with one mother in a shelter needing help with her three children, is now a year-round mission to restore confidence and hope through something every child needs: a good pair of kicks.

We are hosting our 10th Annual Back-to-School In-Store Sneaker Giveaway at Nike—and we need YOU to Be the One, for the One.

Our goal: Sponsor 1,000 kids with new Nike sneakers before school starts. For just $30, you can give a child dignity, confidence, and joy.

👟 $30 = 1 child, $300 = 10 kids, $3,000 = 100 kids
🎉 Includes food, fun, backpacks, supplies & entertainment

How to Help:
✅ Donate at www.kicks-forkids.org
CashApp: $Kicksforkids
Zelle: kicksforkidsllc@gmail.com

We need to demo a structure and rebuild it. If we have enough People we can do the demo in one day, we will rent out a dumpster. We need to move stuff out of the structure to a temporary shed and demo everything there. It is a Carport and Shed that will be replaced with a Workshop and Shed for a Youth Urban Farm and bike Repair Program where Veterans and others will volunteer and serve as speakers to the at-risk youth.

Not for you? Reach out! We got a bunch of work we are doing to get these programs going! We still need more supervisors for the build and more volunteers for the build of the structure itself.

Join GMOVP in assembling and distributing meal kits to the homeless.

God's Messenger of Victorious People (GMOVP) will provide meal kits to 100 homeless individuals living on the streets of San Antonio, Texas on 26 April 2025 from 9:00am-1:00pm at 581 Spencer Lane San Antonio, Texas 78201.

GMOVP provides the unsheltered with ready to eat meal items that are easily transportable and consumable. These meal kits provide our unsheltered neighbors with food for the day and enables GMOVP to assess individuals who are ready to enter our program "The Journey from Homelessness to Wholeness."

Once the individual is selected to enter the program, GMOVP journeys with them to overcome the barriers that are preventing them from getting off the streets (i.e. ID Recovery, employment assistance, or connection with benefits or resources to find shelter).

GMOVP meal kits is our pathway to provide the unsheltered with a hand up instead of a handout. We hope you will consider partnering with us to help the unsheltered to grow from homelessness to wholeness.

Direct questions to Angela Bills at 210-391-6864 or volunteer@gmovp.org.

Blessings to you,
GMOVP

Our fair has been running in Caledon Village since 1860 during the reign of Queen Victoria.

Fairs were started across the country when it was beginning to be settled by pioneers, as a way to encourage improvements, education and productivity of all aspects of agriculture.

For example a prize winning animal at the local fair could command a higher service fee, and be more sought after for service. This helped to improve bloodlines, and productivity.

This had the same effect for other livestock, crops, equipment, new ideas and even canning and preserving as well as other lifestyle enhancing activities, right on down to square dancing! Fairs were a BIG DEAL for many towns and villages throughout Canada for many years.
