Impact: Once you submit your artwork, it will be printed and merged with contributions from others to create a unique "Welcome Home Banner" for a child returning from cancer treatment. Your artistic contribution will help brighten a child’s room and lift their spirits as they transition from hospital to home.
Note for Returning Volunteers: We've transitioned from physical coloring kits to this digital process as this new method enhances the experience and broadens participation options.

Opportunity Details
Zach's Toy Chest would help create and be on site to support team-building opportunities. We will help create these based on the company's goals, budget and alignment of what they support with your team. Something as simple as creating Courage Cards for kids of all ages (or picking a specific age to focus on) to making stuffed animals the hospitals will use in various ways to help the kids receiving care and more! Will also be available to pick up donations and speak at event to help participants understand why they are participating in this specific team-building opportunity.

The Back To School Patient Appointment Portal Assistant will provide critical support in managing and maintaining the online appointment scheduling system used for the Back to School Health Clinic staff. This role ensures that patient appointments are properly scheduled, updated, and organized for each clinic location. Volunteers will communicate with families to confirm details, resolve issues, and ensure accurate data entry to help clinics run smoothly and efficiently. This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented, responsive, and committed to creating a positive experience for families accessing health services.Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and manage the patient appointment portal daily to verify, update, and organize appointment data.
Confirm patient appointments via phone or email as needed.
Assist families with scheduling issues, including rescheduling, cancellations, or navigating the registration process.
Ensure appointment slots are evenly distributed across clinic locations and reflect staffing and capacity.
Collaborate with clinic team leads to share up-to-date appointment rosters and site needs.
Flag any duplicate or incomplete entries and follow up with families for clarification.
Ensure all relevant information (e.g., immunization needs, school grade level, insurance status) is accurately recorded.
Generate and share appointment summaries with the operations team prior to each clinic event. The back to school health clinics are held each Saturday from July 19 - Aug 16.
Qualifications:
Proficient in basic computer skills and navigating online registration systems
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive patient information.
Experience with Excel is required.
Patience and empathy in dealing with families from diverse backgrounds.
Bilingual (Spanish, Creole, Ukrainian, or Russian) is a plus.
Time Commitment:
6–10 hours per week from May through August. The schedule is flexible but should include availability during peak registration hours. Additional hours may be required close to major clinic dates. We have a total of 7 clinics throughout Hillsborough County, mostly on school campuses.
In short, this volunteer doesn’t just manage a spreadsheet — they help unlock access to healthcare for children, reduce systemic barriers, and ensure the clinic serves as a safe, trusted space for families to begin the school year with confidence.

On Sunday, June 1, 2025, Joshua Kaye Foundation will hold our annual Family Fun Festival and Dolphin Drop Raffle to raise funds for our ongoing work in the community. This event is open to the public from 11am-4pm, but we need volunteers for shifts from 7am-7pm.Our Family Fun Festival features live performances, a touch-a-truck, free carnival games & prizes, face painting, temporary tattoos, art & crafts activities, a curated vendor market, food trucks, inflatables, field games, and more!
**All money raised from this event helps fund our ongoing initiatives- gardens and greenhouses in partnership with schools and other community organizations, little free libraries, and holiday foods for families in need.**
200 total volunteers are needed to help this event run smoothly! Volunteers help in many ways- running carnival game tents, handing out prizes, sharing their talents in the face painting tent, welcoming guests at admission booths, supervising the obstacle course, assisting families with field games and other fun activities! Volunteer for an hour or two, or stay all day!
Join us in bringing a day of fun to the community! Your support will play a crucial role in helping us reach our goals and make a positive impact!

Create fun and unique no-sew hats and masks - no art degree required! Children with medically fragile conditions and developmental disabilities will use these costumes during Only Make Believe interactive theatre performances and keep them afterwards. This fosters confidence during a difficult time in their life and allows them to use their imagination and return to the world of “Make Believe“, even after the show has ended.EACH COSTUME CREATED = 1 CHILD REACHED
OMB is dedicated to the principle that engaging a child’s imagination is a vital part of learning and developing life skills. Our programming empowers children to explore their imagination, engage in critical thinking, and discover the fun-filled experience of expressing emotions through interactive theatre.

Additional Details:
Min/Max Participants - We can host events as small as 15 participants and as large as 100 participants!
Location - This event takes place at your office/dedicated event location. If your office is in NYC/DC, the OMB team can join in-person. If your office is not in the NYC/DC area, the OMB team will ship materials to your location and join for a virtual 15-minute introduction to your event. Hybrid and virtual options are also available for remote employees (additional fees may apply).
Facilitation - Available as facilitated or non-facilitated, depending on your team's office location and preference.
Duration of Event - This activity can be anywhere from 1-2 hours of costume-creation. Please also account for 30-45 minutes before and after your event for set-up and clean-up.
Geographic Reach/Impact - Only Make Believe has offices in New York and Washington, D.C. Partner Facilities in these cities and the surrounding metropolitan areas enjoy our in-person programming. Only Make Believe's virtual programming has expanded our reach to 16 additional cities across the U.S., including Orlando, St. Louis, Dallas, and Salt Lake City!
Funding Required - Yes, this event requires a donation to our program, which ensures that we can continue to serve those children who need us most. Below are the donation expectations associated with your group's size. If your team is working with a specific budget, please share the amount and we may be able to make some adjustments to the event to better fit your needs:

oin Above the Clouds for one or more Dream Flight Days throughout our 2025 season and help bring joy, confidence, and adventure to children facing serious medical conditions, hardship, or other life challenges.Dream Flight Days give young participants—our “Dream Flyers”—the unforgettable experience of flying in a small aircraft, many for the very first time. These events are filled with excitement, encouragement, and pure magic—not just for the kids, but for their families and every volunteer involved.
As a volunteer, you’ll be part of a team that helps make this experience possible. Whether you’re helping on the ground, greeting families, coordinating flights, or spreading smiles as a Joy Maker, your presence makes a lasting impact. Opportunities are available on select Saturdays and Sundays from spring through fall—and you’re welcome to join us for one or multiple dates!
