Call your team together and get together with vulnerable residents by walking with them by wheelchair, playing games or going on an outing. In Enschede there are many people who are lonely and appreciate your visit and attention. For these people you can engage yourself through Present. For example by making music, doing crafts together or just having coffee or tea with someone and listening.
At Present we call this a 'social project'.
Social projects take place at a day care for people with a mental disability or a residential location for elderly/demented people or people with non-congenital brain injury.
Examples include:
- walking with residents in a care facility
- Game morning / afternoon (eg bingo, card games)
- craft activity
- music activity
With Present, you pick the date yourself, together with your team. We organize the project on your chosen date.
For all projects, the help reaches people who have no other possibilities. The projects are supervised by a Present group supervisor and the aid worker remains involved in the implementation.
Get involved and experience for yourself how a few hours of your time creates an unforgettable moment for the resident, as well as yourself

Get practical and roll up your sleeves for one day to help someone else. Through Present you do the work that you do well and that, unfortunately, someone else can't or no longer does well. Usually you come to someone without a network. Someone who lacks contacts in the neighborhood and could use help with a practical job.In practical projects, you refurbish people's living environment so that they can make a fresh new start.
For example:
- Garden tidying up (pruning, clearing weeds)
- De-cluttering the garden and removing garbage from the container
- Cleaning up the house
- Refurbishing the house (e.g. painting the walls, but also hanging up curtains etc.)
At Present you decide yourself, together with your group, on which date you will start helping someone. Present then organizes a suitable project on the date chosen by you. This way, a Present project always fits your agenda!
For all projects it applies that the help goes to people who have no other possibilities. The projects are guided by a group supervisor of Present and the aid worker remains involved in the implementation.
By helping one day(part), you and a group can make a new start possible for the resident. The aid worker remains involved with the resident even after the project day is over. In this way, the project becomes part of the counseling process.
