Why We're CelebratingFor years, our founder, Ike, volunteered at a pediatric hospital—bringing encouragement to patients he'd never met.
Then, on August 5, 2005, everything changed. After a year of seizures, he became a patient himself and underwent brain surgery.
That moment didn't start our mission, but it deepened it.
It's why we care so much about personal connection. Every card is hand-delivered—so that patients and families feel truly seen.
This year marks 20 years since that pivotal moment. We're celebrating the best way we know how: by lifting spirits, building community, and remembering why this work matters.

Dear Kind-hearted Supporter,Greetings from Village Vision Care (VVC) in Uganda.
We come to you with humility and hope, reaching out through this global platform with one prayerful request: walk with us.
In Kawule Village, Uganda, we are planting the seeds of something powerful, Beacon Education Centers, a Christ-inspired project built on love, dignity, and the belief that every forgotten soul still has a future.
Every day, we witness heartbreaking realities, young girls forced into sex work, boys trapped by drugs, children abandoned because of disability or poverty, single and young mothers silently struggling to raise their children with no support, and elderly men and women left to suffer alone. But we believe their stories can change. With the right care and community, the broken can be restored, and the hopeless can rise again.
That’s why we are kindly and humbly inviting virtual volunteers to stand with us. Whether you are skilled in writing, outreach, organizing fundraisers, or simply sharing our story, you are deeply needed. Your compassion can become the bridge between a suffering child and a classroom, between an abandoned grandmother and her next meal, between a young mother and a lifeline of hope.
We are not asking for much, just a willing heart and a little time. From wherever you are, your efforts can bring healing to our village.
Let’s raise hope together. Let’s show that even from across the world, love can still reach the forgotten.
Thank you for hearing our cry.
With deep gratitude, respect & Love in Christ,
Ronnie Remmy Mukwaya

Why VVC Stands to Help
In Uganda today:
Over 10 million people are living in poverty, struggling daily to feed their families and meet basic needs.
About 2.4 million children aged 0-18 years are orphaned, many due to HIV/AIDS and the effects of COVID-19.
Many of these children are ending up on the streets. Young girls are forced into sex work at a very young age. Boys get addicted to drugs, others become mad youths seen everywhere in towns and trading centres. Many turn into deadly night robbers or even join terrorist groups just to survive.
12% of people aged 15 years and above have never gone to school or had any formal education.
14% of children aged 5-17 years are in child labour, working hard for small money instead of being in school.
Sadly, many children with disabilities are kept hidden in households, without care or education, as families fear shame or can’t afford help.
We are kindly inviting volunteers to walk with us as we grow a humble but powerful education and care project in Kawule Village, Uganda. Our dream is to build a center where orphaned and vulnerable children can receive free, Christ-inspired education and where elderly people who have no one left to care for them can access free medical help, comfort, and dignity.
To sustain this work long-term, we are encouraging families who are able to contribute a small fee for their children or elderly relatives. But the poorest and most forgotten will always be cared for freely, without condition. Our heart is to lift up the weak, not leave anyone behind.
Volunteers will help us in proposal writing, online and physical fundraising, and outreach, connecting with kind-hearted donors and sponsors through email, social media, physical and other platforms. Your voice, your skills, and your compassion can help open doors for children, youths, single and young mothers who’ve been left behind and elderly people who are quietly suffering.
This mission is more than a project, it is a lifeline of hope. Together, we can turn forgotten pain into a future filled with purpose, learning, and love.
