TVT Resource Center Project: Construction of a Community Social HallEmpowering Women, School Children, and Youth Through a Shared Space for Growth and Opportunity
Project Overview
The Village Trust (TVT) is embarking on a transformative project to construct a Community Social Hall at the TVT Resource Center. This hall will serve as a safe, inclusive, and multipurpose space where womenâs groups, school children, and youth can come together to learn, share, and grow.
This initiative is rooted in our core mission: empowering women and youth by providing opportunities, tools, and spaces that promote personal and community development.
Purpose of the Social Hall
For Womenâs Groups:
A place to hold meetings, plan and execute income-generating projects, and attend trainings on business, health, and leadership.
A safe space to build solidarity, receive mentorship, and access information on financial empowerment and social protection.
For School Children:
A learning and recreational space where children from nearby schools and TVTâs Education Centre can engage in creative activities, reading programs, and after-school mentorship.
An area for school holiday camps, workshops, and nutrition-focused events.
For the Youth:
A platform to organize youth innovation forums, talent shows, leadership bootcamps, and digital skills training.
A productive environment for youth-led enterprises, content creation, and peer mentoring.
Project Goals
Construct a spacious, safe, and accessible hall equipped with basic amenities: seating, lighting, sound system, and ventilation.
Ensure the hall is solar-powered and water-connected, in line with TVTâs commitment to sustainability.
Foster community ownership and leadership, with all groups actively involved in the use and maintenance of the hall.
Why This Project Matters
In the rural areas where TVT operates, lack of communal spaces limits meaningful engagement and capacity building. This social hall will become a hub of transformation, enabling:
Economic empowerment for women
Holistic development for children
Innovation and leadership for youth
It is more than a buildingâitâs a catalyst for dignity, dialogue, and development.
How You Can Support
We invite partners, well-wishers, and volunteers to join us in making this vision a reality by:
Donating materials or funds for construction and furnishing
Volunteering your skills in design, construction, or training programs
Sponsoring programs that will be hosted in the hall
