-Answer general questions and provide directions to ensure players know how to use their leaderboard scorecard (volunteers will receive training on this)  
-Escort sponsors to their assigned holes 
-Move and set up tables, chairs, and supplies

Great Life Mentoring (GLM) is now accepting applications to the Board of Directors. Individuals from all cultures, ethnicities, races, backgrounds and walks of life are encouraged to apply. Preferred applicants reside in GLM’s current service area: the Portland, Oregon and Clark County, Washington metro area. Virtual applicants will also be considered.

About Great Life Mentoring
Great Life Mentoring is a 501(c)(3) public charity and an evidence-based mental health intervention that utilizes community volunteers to significantly improve the mental health conditions of children living in poverty. It’s unlike any other mentoring program, and it’s proven to work.

For the past 25 years, GLM has worked in partnership with mental health organizations, and its careful approach has positively impacted over 1,000 kids-providing over 100,000 hours of consistency, positive interactions and quality time that changes lives.

The organization is engaged in the highest-level scientific research (a randomized controlled trial), with the long-term goal being to scale this proven intervention and provide GLM’s standard of care, stability and emotional competence to children in communities throughout the US and Canada.

Desired Skills and Experience
Board members serve as ambassadors, provide leadership, guidance and financial sustainability. Board members need not have all of the following skills, but within the team they will be represented: Accounting, Fundraising, Hospitality, Human Resources, Legal Compliance, Technology, Marketing, Social Media, Strategic Planning. There is currently a gap in the areas of legal and fundraising, though all applicants will be considered.

This organization is committed to building a leadership team that reflects the diversity of the community it serves.

For 11 days, Sir Winston Churchill Square, in Downtown Edmonton, will be filled with the smells of fabulous food, the glorious sounds of talented musical performers, the sites of local restaurants sharing their culture and the excitement of our volunteers bringing Western Canada's largest outdoor food festival and free concert series to life!

By volunteering with the Christmas Bureau at this event, your time and efforts help raise much needed funds for our Christmas Campaign. By volunteering, your hours are paid back to the Christmas Bureau in an honorarium to support families in need with a festive meal at Christmas time.

Providing Dream recipients with photographs of their Dream experience unfolding is possible thanks to the talented volunteers who make up our Dream Photography Network. Professional photographers in the United States, including Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico donate their time and talent to capture Dreams through their lenses.

Our volunteer photographers play an integral role helping us achieve our mission. From capturing family portraits to documenting family reunions or celebrations of life, our Dream Photography Network offers cherished keepsakes that document happy memories for our Dream recipients, their families and loved ones. These special gifts also enable us to share our mission and the stories of those we serve in an extraordinary way.

If you are passionate about photographing Dreams in your local community, please consider being part of our Dream Photography Network. Shoots vary from approximately 1 to 3 hours, depending on the Dream. We try to notify volunteers one week in advance of the shoot, but due to the nature of our work, requests may be made on shorter notice.

As a special thanks for your generosity, all Dream photographers will receive a Dream Photography Network website badge upon completion of their first Dream.

Juneteenth 2025 will serve as the official community relaunch of The Union with a special focus on our expanded education, and entrepreneurships programs in addition to a completely remodeled content production and digital archival facility. On Thursday Juneteenth 2025, PACE activates a recurring sping/summer daytime events concept known as “The Yard”. This event delivers a community plaza party reminiscent of an HBCU styled homecoming family gathering with a simultaneous member/guest open house at The Union to celebrate its history of empowering community, commerce, creativity, and culture in the heart of downtown Seattle for people of African descent.

“Welcome to the Yard”, come as you are, stay for the fellowship, leave with new kinfolk and a deeper sense of belonging.
