Join us for two volunteer days at Oakdale Park as part of our ongoing work to restore the ecology of this valuable urban forest, in partnership with the Hudson Youth Department and Friends of Oakdale Lake. On Saturday, May 6th and Saturday May 20th we’ll be removing competitive species and planting native trees along Oakdale's woodland trail. Tools and snacks provided. Come to Oakdale Park, 132 N. 6th St., 10am-12:30pm. Wear sturdy shoes and bring work gloves if you have them.

Join Keep America Beautiful on Arbor Day to leave a legacy that will last for generations to come. RAIN OR SHINE!

This tree planting event will begin at noon sharp with check-in at Russ Nature Reserve (2380 Kemp Rd. Beavercreek, OH 45431). Volunteers will be taught proper tree planting techniques, then arranged into small groups that will be sent to home sites throughout neighborhoods in Harrison Township, Beavercreek, Beavercreek Township, and Old North Dayton to replant large native trees for residents rebuilding in the wake of the 2019 tornados. A free dinner for volunteers will follow the planting. Dayton RETREET III will be a day to remember!

Note: Holes will be dug by hand, so volunteers should come prepared to work. Tools will be provided.

Join us for KKB’s annual Trash-Off event! The Don’t Mess with Texas Trash-Off is spearheaded by TxDOT and Keep Texas Beautiful and serves as Texas’ signature event for the Great American Clean-Up which is organized by Keep America Beautiful. This one-day event allows community members to join thousands of other Texans in their hometowns to make a big difference just by picking up harmful litter and debris along roadsides, in local parks, and other places in the city.

Interested volunteers can register online by noon March 24. Registration is open to all ages. Volunteers 17 years and younger must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Online registration will close when all slots are filled.

During the event, KIB will provide cleanup supplies for onsite volunteers including trash bags, gloves and grabbers. Following the event, volunteers will receive a free lunch.

In conjunction with the event, Crisis Ministries of Irving Food Pantry will host a canned food donation drive. Volunteers who bring a canned food item will receive a T-shirt, while supplies last. For more information, email KIB or call (972) 721-2175.

The statewide cleanup event is a signature event for the national “Great American Cleanup.

We are combining the Don’t mess with Texas® Trash-Off with our Earth Day observance and the Great American Cleanup. We will work together in community parks, along roadways and shoreline to collect trash and recycling. Volunteer with Keep Belmont Beautiful, City of Belmont and Keep America Beautiful as we pick up trash in areas citywide.

Look for us next to the Fighting Yank statue on Main Street. We will provide gloves, bags, pickers and assign target areas. Wear closed toe shoes and bring your own refillable water bottle. Your own transportation may be necessary for some areas.

Please join us and over 1,000 volunteers celebrating Earth Day by working to keep Worcester a clean, healthy, and beautiful place to live, work, and play.
