3. Click on "Create a Cleanup" and register to be an Ocean Blue CleanUp Crew Leader
4. An Ocean Blue Team Member will guide you through every step.

When you Create a Cleanup at your favorite local beach, river, stream, or neighborhood park you keep litter out of our one world ocean. Register your cleanup at the link and an Ocean Blue Team Member will guide you to be an Ocean Blue Crew Leader and give marine wildlife a cleaner, healthier home.

Your corporation uses plastics in a multitude of ways. Minimize that impact by engaging with our One World Ocean.

Employee Giving

Your employees are passionate people. Giving them an outlet to give rewards their passion. Being an ocean cleanup volunteer extends beyond the face-to-face and is simple with an employee giving program. One easy form and your employees will be confident to know that their selected dollar amount helps our ocean with every paycheck.

Want to join them in their mission? Reward them with an employee match program. Dollar for dollar, you’ll both be saving our oceans. For every $1, Ocean Blue recovers 5 pounds of plastic and debris from beaches and ocean bound waterways.

WoHeLo Work Days at Camp Fire Camp Toccoa are a great opportunity for alumni, staff, and friends of camp to come together and show their dedication to the Camp Fire motto of “Give Service.” Help us prepare Camp Toccoa for the start of summer camp! We are organizing volunteers to prepare the facility most Saturdays this spring.

Task will vary depending on the ability and number of volunteers. Most tasks will involve some level of standing, walking, and/or lifting.

What to Expect

A day of fun and work! WoHeLo Work Days will typically run from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm; however, you are free to come a little late or leave a little early. We just ask that you let us know in advance.

Once you arrive at camp (92 Camp Toccoa Dr. Toccoa, GA 30577), you will park and head to the main office. Here, you will be greeted by a board member or close friend of camp. We will then go over a quick volunteer orientation, discuss tasks for the day, and split up into teams.

Who Can Attend

Adults, families, individuals, college organizations, youth groups, school clubs, and more are welcome! All minors (under 16) must be accompanied by an adult and will be under the supervision of their chaperone(s) at all times. Volunteers that are 16 and 17 may volunteer unaccompanied with a Volunteer Minor Waiver on file. All volunteers (including minors) must have a filled-out Volunteer Waiver. Waivers can be found on our website http://www.campfirega.org/get-involved/volunteer/.

Those who complete 7 hours or more will be provided with a community service letter, as needed.

Meals

Meals will be on your own. Feel free to bring a cooler or run into town and visit one of the restaurants in Toccoa. Refrigerated space will not be available. Please bring water so you can stay hydrated!

What to Bring

Water bottle, long pants (required for most projects), closed toed shoes, extra clothing in case you get wet or dirty. If staying overnight: pajamas, toiletries, towel, shower shoes, bedding, flashlight, snacks, board games or other evening entertainment.

Camp Fire Camp Toccoa has tools for each project, but you are always welcome and encouraged to bring extra. Helpful tools include gloves, rakes, shovels, and so forth. Please label your items with your name.

Please do not hesitate to reach out by email if you have any additional questions or concerns. We look forward to seeing you at one of our work days!
