Reporting to the Meta volunteer of the People Management Team, the Lead - Talent Acquisition volunteer will lead and guide the efforts of the sourcing specialists team for CrowdDoing departments and Social Enterprises. The ideal candidate will have experience in full cycle recruitment, managing teams, guiding team members through growth, and adapt to a non-profit start up culture that expects collaboration, as well as speed, in execution.

Responsibilities:

Building Solutions: Micro-leadership in current volunteer needs, develops effective talent acquisition strategies and hiring plans to meet the volunteer needs
Collaboration & Task Allocation: Partner with HR Meta Volunteer to ensure tasks are assigned to all team members. Collaborate through use of phone calls to address team challenges.
Organization branding: Micro-leadership in organizational branding through social recruitment and postings of volunteer opportunities. Ensure positive candidate experience through prompt and effective communication.
Training & Development: Micro-leadership in all team members are appropriately trained to effectively perform their tasks. including conducting trainings related to system usage, so that the team members can effectively perform their role.
Talent Management:Micro-leadership in supporting with full cycle recruiting which includes sourcing, conducting interviews, and extending offers. Ensure all website postings are accurate with clear role analysis.
Data, Metrics & Review: Tracks, analyzes, and utilizes a range of data metrics to identify areas of improvement, review of hiring status on CrowdDoing departments and Social enterprises. Maintain a consolidated up to date tracker of all potential applicants in Volunteer Match.
Coaching: Promotes effective development though coaching and counseling direct reports. Provide role clarity, assessment of training and development needs of the team to scaleAttributes for Success:Due to the high volume demands of this role, the ideal applicant may be a volunteer with availability and is looking for a longer-term volunteer position, in addition to possessing the following:
Prior experience leading and managing a team within Human Resources environment
Bachelor or Master’s degree in Human Resources preferred
Recruitment experience preferred
Excellent communication skills, must be available to respond to inquiries within 48 hours.
Influential, Action Oriented, Quick Learner and Strategic
Strong multi-tasking skills needed to meet deadlines.
Sincere commitment to work collaboratively with all constituent groups.
Self-starter, able to work virtually, independently, and entrepreneurial; enjoys creating and implementing new initiatives.
Comfortable working in a startup phase hybrid social initiative (joint initiative between a social enterprise and a non-profit organization).

The communications & media manager is the voice of DAKTARI and we are looking for someone excited to take on the challenge of describing our work to a big and variable audience in a fun and engaging way.

Part of your role is to tell everyone what is happening at DAKTARI every day. That means you have a front-row seat to all of the exciting things happening at the camp!

Your job will include:
- Managing DAKTARI’s accounts on Facebook, Twitter, Tik Tok and Instagram, including posting content daily
- Writing and sending DAKTARI’s monthly newsletter and other campaign emails
- Strategically planning and executing fundraising campaigns
- Creating media and marketing content for DAKTARI including brochures, merchandise, photos, and videos
- Maintaining DAKTARI’s brand across all promotional materials and enforcing its use throughout the organisation
- Updating and improving DAKTARI’s website

Criteria:
- You must be comfortable working with Mac computers
- You must be able to meet deadlines and manage your time well
- You must have strong writing skills and be able to work independently
- Previous marketing or communications experience is strongly preferred
- Experience with photo and video editing.

Did you know that there are thousands of foods and herbs that can impact our mental health in positive ways? CrowdDoing is a global virtual collaboration to research medicinal foods for stress, sleep and anxiety. Our project has the goal of advancing integration across fields of research and to build medicinal foods literacies in the population. We need approximately 250 to 300 packets collated for home-bound Older Adults in the community that will be receiving hand-delivered poinsettias by community volunteers. The packets will have poinsettia care instructions, personalized greeting cards, wellness tips and community resources for Older Adults. These packets will accompany the poinsettias once collated. The project will take approximately 3 hours depending on the number of volunteers. The project can either be completed at the Center of Concern or materials can be dropped off at a local Kohl's store for associated to complete and we can pick up the completed project once it is done. The project can be done anytime from November 21st through December 6th.
Our Adopt An Older Adult kicks off alongside giving Tuesday. Companies and individuals in the community can adopt older adults at increments of $25/per Older Adult adopted. Poinsettias will be personally delivered by community volunteers and the proceeds from the donations will go directly to support critical, lifesaving community services. We have an art gallery at the Aurora Cultural Arts District Gallery and Studios. We are a small organization with a large foot print in the community. We need more people to help with our gallery space so that we can be open to the public more frequently and start hosting more events and activities for the community at this location. Volunteers will help with creating art exhibits and promoting them to the community, and handle any gallery sales for local artists. Must be willing to work in groups with other artists and community members to help the space run successfully.
