Mission Statement
To provide tech access, opportunity, and digital literacy to under resourced design students.
About This Cause
Formerly Oakland Digital Arts and Literacy Center Inc, BRIDGEGOOD prepares job seekers (predominantly women of color) in the digital design field by inspiring first-generation college students ages 18+ to become creative leaders in their communities, and designers of social good through exposure to STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, applied Mathematics). As such, BRIDGEGOOD provides equitable tech access, design opportunities, and professional resources to job seekers. We aim to train 40,000 student Designers by 2030 — with a focus on User Experience (UX), User Interface (UI), Product Design, and Visual Design careers. BRIDGEGOOD’s programs boost the local economy by $8.4 million, leading to tangible opportunities for 21st century employment, economic mobility, and community success.
