About This Cause

Indoor ARENA The Capital Campaign for the Indoor arena is now in phase 3. The 120x80’ Arena has been built and now the walls and doors are needed so that our delicate riders can be protected from the blowing wind, rain and snow. Breaking Free Therapeutic Riding Center began as a calling by God for founder Linda Lake in 2005, which gave her the deep desire to serve children with disabilities in a unique and lasting way. Using her own family farm and 3 horses as the starting point. As a new organization the relationship with PATH International (Profession Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International) began that would serve the larger community. Breaking Free became a charitable organization by the State of Ohio and applied and received its 501c3 status January 24, 2008. From its inception, Breaking Free has looked to PATH International and in following their strict standards becoming a Premier Accredited Center in 2013.
