Mission Statement
Days for Girls creates a more free, dignified, and educated world through access to sustainable feminine hygiene solutions. Through programs promoting sewing, health education, and entrepreneurship, women and girls become equal partners in creating change and building stronger communities and nations.
About This Cause
Why Days for Girls: ● Bold mission: Our goal is Every girl. Everywhere. Period. By 2022. We think big and play with a fantastic global team. It’s working. Our team includes a vibrant volunteer network, governments, other non-profits, and companies. ● Local ownership: With Days for Girls, women and girls discover their potential and self-value and are equal participants and agents of social change, through Ambassador of Women’s Health training and Days for Girls Enterprises. ● Visionary thinking: Days for Girls’ mission is to break the cycle of poverty through access to healthy sustainable hygiene solutions. Each hygiene kit gives a girl back up to 180 days, which adds up to greater education and economic opportunity. ● Honoring the wisdom of those we serve: the Days for Girls hygiene kit was designed with the feedback of thousands of women all over the world. ● Innovation: The kit went through 27 different iterations before we felt the kit so uniquely responded to social, cultural, and environmental needs that it was worthy of a patent.
