Mission Statement
The mission of Have A Gay Day is to create a safe environment for the purpose of Equality, Education, and support for the LGBTQ+ Community and their Allies.
About This Cause
Have A Gay Day started it’s social media presence February 25th 2012. The founder of the organization had created a memorial page for Jamey Rodemeyer and had noticed that people were just sharing bullying and suicide content not so much for a help to the community but to gain likes, and shares from tragic events. Have A Gay Day was a play on words and was created in the hopes of providing that safe space online to those that needed it . This thought lives on today as Have A Gay Day became a non-profit charity organization through our mission and the work that we do in the community.
