Mission Statement
St. Jude the Apostle Catholic School was established in 1962 as part of St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church. As a parish school, we serve as an extension of the church community aiding in the formation of citizens willing and able to serve God and live as useful members of society.
About This Cause
Serving students from PreK-4 through eighth grade, our teachers average 16 years of teaching experience. As a multiple National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence Awardee (2003, 2014, 2023), Saint Jude offers a competitive academic program with a balance of core classes, STREAM, arts, physical education, grammar and handwriting, religion, chorus, band, and foreign language. In addition, we have a rage of athletic and extracurricular activities, before and after school programs, field trips, service projects, and retreats. Saint Jude recognizes the value of technology in the classroom to teach students how to develop and master skills needed for success. Technology represents the "T" in our STREAM model of learning. Saint Jude is a Cognia STEM certified school and uses a Google Workspace platform. Each classroom, depending on grade level, has 1:1 iPads and/or Chromebooks for students use. All classrooms are equipped with LCD projectors. Interactive white boards are used in all classrooms grades 2 – 8. The Media Center meets weekly with each homeroom to ignite the love for reading, instruct students on how to use the library management system and guide students in online research. The Media Center is also equipped with a broadcast studio, and the student-led news crew offers a morning prayer and news show.
