Mission Statement
St. Jude the Apostle Catholic School was established in 1962 as part of St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church. As a parish school, we serve as an extension of the church community aiding in the formation of citizens willing and able to serve God and live as useful members of society.
About This Cause
Serving students from kindergarten through eighth grade, our teachers average 12 years of teaching experience. The curriculum includes religion and all required elementary school subjects. In addition, computer, Spanish and French enrichment, physical education, chorus, art, drama, and band are offered. St. Jude the Apostle Catholic School maintains two iPad carts with 30 iPads each and one cart of 15 iPads. The three carts are shared among our K - 6 classrooms. In addition, each classroom, depending on grade level, has a center of iPads and/or PCs for student use. Each classroom teacher is issued an iPad and PC laptop to help deliver instruction. All classrooms are equipped with LCD projectors. Interactive white boards are used in all classrooms grades 2 – 8, the foreign language room, and the Tech Lab. All 7th and 8th grade students participate in our one-to-one iPad program for use at school and at home. In the fall of 2015, St. Jude will add a Chromebook cart of 30 Chromebooks for use by all students. The Media Center has fifteen PCs for student research and access to our library management system. The Tech Lab houses thirty one PCs, three Macbooks, two 3-D printers, and two network printers. The Media Center is also equipped with a broadcast studio, and the student-led news crew offers a morning prayer and news show.
