About This Cause
Lifting Hands International (LHI) is a global humanitarian organization that supports people who have been impacted by war and disaster. We respond quickly and effectively as crises unfold, working side-by-side with refugees and displaced people because we believe that meaningful change begins within their communities. Together, we create lasting, empowering solutions that help people survive, heal, thrive, rebuild, and resettle. We also work to unite and inspire a global community of advocates and NGOs, ensuring that displaced people have the resources and support they need to recover. LHI isn’t about giving handouts—it’s about offering a hand up and believing in people’s potential to lead their own recovery and shape their own future. Rather than assuming how to help, we ask, listen, and then take action, whether it's providing farm animals to seed entrepreneurship, establishing community centers as places for refugees to learn and grow, providing mental-health counseling to heal from trauma, or shipping emergency aid that is actually needed and wanted.
