National Pike Chapter participates tin the Washington County Pennsylvania Whiskey Rebellion Festival each year with a table of information. The Chapter advertises our community endeavors. National Pike participates in an array of historic preservation projects, contributions to schools and educational programs and volunteer work which includes support for local veterans' organizations, sponsorship of programs which promote the Constitution, and donations to Domestic Violence Services of SW Pennsylvania. We would ask that volunteers help us pass out information promoting our July 18th fundraiser at Texas Roadhouse. We would like you to enjoy some of the highlights of the festival while enjoying the festival. There is a parade on Main street at 10 am, through out the day there are street performances reenacting the rebellion every hour starting at 11:15 am culminating in a tar and feathering performance at 5 pm. There is transportation to Washington Park's Fort Schneider, where there are battle reenactments and a Native American encampment. Bring a friend or two, some chairs to watch the tarring and feathering, and enjoy the festival while passing out handouts for the fundraising event.

We are writing to invite you to become an invaluable part of our initiative aimed at empowering first-generation learners, particularly those from rural and urban settings. These students often complete their 10th grade without a clear understanding of how to pursue further studies or which career path to choose, making your support crucial in guiding them towards a successful future.

Your commitment to this cause will involve a range of activities designed to provide guidance and enhance the prospects of these ambitious young individuals. Here is an overview of the areas where your expertise can make a significant impact:

Career Development Sessions: Your valuable insights can help students studying in high schools in rural and urban poor settings make informed decisions about their future academic and career paths. These sessions will equip them with the knowledge needed to choose areas of study that align with their interests and potential for employability.

Personality Development Programs: By conducting programs focusing on communication, presentation, and behavior skills, you can help these students develop essential qualities that will serve them well in both their educational journey and future careers. Building self-confidence is a crucial aspect of their development.

Group Activities in Development Sectors: Organizing group discussions, question-and-answer sessions, and sharing your own experiences in job-oriented fields can inspire confidence in these students. Your insights into various job-related topics will broaden their horizons and prepare them for the challenges and opportunities they may encounter.

Your contributions will play a vital role in bridging the gap for these first-generation learners, guiding them toward paths that lead to success. We believe that your expertise can be transformative, opening doors to brighter futures for these young individuals.
