Objectifs de la mission

Renforcer la confiance du lycéen en ses compétences et sa préparation pour sa future recherche de stage.
Mettre en avant les compétences, réalisations académiques et expériences du jeune de façon structurées et claires sur le CV et la lettre de motivation.

Tous les profils sont les bienvenus : Bienveillance, écoute active et conseils objectifs sont les seuls prérequis pour participer à nos actions.

Organisation

Les lettres de motivation des élèves vous seront envoyées en amont de la mission
Le temps de coaching sera déroulera en distanciel. Un lien Teams vous sera transmis à l’issue du temps de préparation pour réaliser cette mission.
Vous passerez 45 min auprès de chaque jeune ; sur créneau total de 3h, soit auprès de 4 à 5 élèves.
Vous interviendrez en binôme avec un autre bénévole
Un temps de préparation à la mission sera organisé une à deux semaines avant la mission

Relecture du CV de l’élève et de la lettre de motivation avec le jeune - 30 minutes :
Evoquez les points positifs, ce qui est clair et qui valorise son CV et sa lettre de motivation, en retravaillant les documents avec le jeune.

Retour avec le jeune sur ses axes d’amélioration et sur la valorisation de ses outils de présentation - 5 minutes :
Mise en avant des compétences, personnalisation, structure de l’information, mise en page, fautes d’orthographe…

We provide a secure platform with required scheduling, communication and academic software so that tutors and students can seamlessly connect. Students arrive with their homework, math worksheets, grammar materials or reading books. Our expectation is that each tutor is paired with one student, and meets either one or two times/week for 45 minutes. No previous experience is required. - Manage ongoing civic tech programs for students based on priorities from executive leadership.
- Recruit and coordinate industry mentors to advise student project teams.
- Foster partnerships with schools, colleges, community organizations, and local governments to source projects.
- Collect and analyze program data including student learning outcomes, project impact, and partner feedback.
- Support planning for new STEM-focused civic tech programs and initiatives.
Represent TeamUp programs at community events and meetings as needed.

We are looking for technical mentors to supervise our student teams. You can choose to mentor one or multiple teams. The duration of a project is 3-6 months.

Minimum expectations from mentors:
- Availability: Commit to dedicating 4-8 hours per week to mentor activities over the duration of the project (typically 3-6 months).
- Leadership: Demonstrate coaching/mentoring skills to guide students through the software project lifecycle. Motivate and inspire student developers.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with other mentors and stakeholders involved in the project. Participate in mentor meetings for status updates and escalations.
- Conduct: Model professionalism, ethics, and appropriate conduct when interacting with students. Maintain student privacy and respect.
- Commitment: Passionate about civic tech and youth development. Eager to help students gain technical skills by building meaningful projects.

Mentor profiles that we are looking for:
- Software Engineer - who can advise on overall software architecture, coding practices, and project scoping.
- Front-end Developer - Specialized in client-side web development using JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and frameworks like React. Can guide on UI/UX.
- Back-end Developer - Focused on server-side logic and APIs. Skilled in languages like Python, Java, Node.js, and web frameworks.
- Full-stack Developer - Proficient in front-end and back-end development to mentor across the stack.
- Mobile Developer - Android or iOS app development experience.
- DevOps Engineer - Knowledge of build/deploy automation, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure. Help set up project environments.
- Data Engineer/Scientist - For any data-focused projects, able to provide guidance on data pipelines, modeling, etc.
- Security Engineer - Expertise in building secure software and experience with cybersecurity topics.
- UX/UI Designer - Background in user experience design to advise on creating usable and intuitive applications.
- Engineering Manager - Technical leadership skills to oversee project vision and mentor teams effectively.

"The students who are seeking employment will face lot of hurdles in the placement process and sometimes stuck in the process. They would be scared/constantly looking for a supporting hand to overcome the final hurdle in the form of interview. Mock Interviews and Resume building plays a key role for a person/ student in getting placed.
This session is regarding
1. Conducting Mock Interviews in skill centres
2. This will enable the beneficiaries to build their confidence levels and explore their strengths and weak points
3. Organizing Resume building sessions in YEP sessions
4. Orientation for JAM, GD and HR rounds .

This will help the beneficiaries to overcome the hurdles and get placed in any employment.
