TEXAS YES is an educational nonprofit committed to closing the gap for educational equality through the support of Title 1 students in San Antonio, Dallas-Fort Worth, Corpus Christi, and Austin. For 27 years, TEXAS YES Project has worked to provide students with the supplies and resources they need for success in the classroom. As our program has grown, we’ve expanded the ways we provide services to the students we serve. Our Box of Dreams program supports our partnered Title 1 schools across Texas with free school supplies. Our Little Locker Project provides greater access to literacy, by offering free books and resources in the areas we serve. In addition, we provide direct grants to teachers and schools to fund new initiatives around STEAM education, equipment, and classroom updates.
In 2023, TEXAS YES launched the ' YES Reading Partners’. Volunteers can read to students in grades Kindergarten - 5th grade at partnered elementary schools. Reading to young children exposes them to new words and ways of using them. This makes it easier for children to learn about new subjects as they progress through the primary and secondary years of school.
To learn more about our ongoing projects and how you can get involved with our programming, please submit your interest by registering for this opportunity. A representative from TEXAS YES Project will reach out to you with more information regarding our volunteer programs.
