• Early Learners Graduation: Our Early Learners Graduation is a celebration for our youngest learners of all their hard work as they exit pre-K and enter kindergarten! This year, we’re hosting it at the Mall of America and will have an exclusive Early Learner book fair, games, and cap and gown graduation ceremony in the Overlook room at the Mall of America. Afterwards, families can come down to the rotunda to participate in the Mall of America and Way to Grow Literacy Event that is open to all Way to Grow families.• Literacy Event: This event is open to ALL Way to Grow families. It will feature a book fair in the rotunda, a variety of activities for families (Way to Grow families and mallgoers) to participate in (face painting, character meet and greets, children’s authors, crafts). The rotunda activities will be available starting at 10:00, with majority of the activities and crowd expected to begin around 1:00. The book fair is exclusive to Way to Grow families, but any passerby can join in on the activities happening.

The purpose of this activity is to help support the efforts of our regular staff and volunteers to sort, organize, pack and label the hundreds of gently used and new books received from donors.

Each year, TEXAS YES selects numerous Title 1 elementary schools across Texas and supplies every student (Kindergarten through 5th grade) with a free school supply kit.Since 1998, TEXAS YES staff members, dedicated volunteers, Board members and sponsors have personally distributed more than 660,000 school supply kits to students and community groups in Texas, making us the largest distributor of supplies for elementary students.
Each school supply kits includes the following items: colored pencils, crayons, notebook paper, spiral notebook, big eraser, glue stick, folders with pockets, folders with pockets and brads, a ruler, pencils, ballpoint pens in black and red, and a box of tissues.
This year's distributions will take place August 9th -19th at partner schools in San Antonio, Dallas/Forth Worth, Corpus Christi, and Austin.

Back 2 School Supplies Giveaway Event:Event will focus on Health, Education, Fitness, Dance, and Community Involvement. The event's main target is to prevent children from being impacted by lack of income, poverty, obesity, any disease and provide an event where's the community will come and have fun, get educated, get entertained, and more.
