Forest Fire Prevention Derivatives, CrowdDoing, Volunteer Project Manager
Bobby Fishkin, lead author
In 2018, Sacramento was named the ""the Most Polluted City on Earth"" due to ""smoke from Camp Fire,"" This proposal aims to prevent that from happening again through adopting a systemic approach and collaborating with stakeholders to actively prevent future such events. The insurance industry, along with institutional chief risk officers, have begun to recognize the importance of moving from ""loss compensation to loss prevention.""
CrowdDoing and Project Heather propose launching a prevention derivative with two new stakeholders: (a) contingent payers who pay in proportion to the reduction in risk, and (b) impact investors who finance social innovations in which their return is similarly proportional to the reduction in risk. It will build on existing precedents for contingent contracts involving social- innovation-based risk prevention.
Forest Fire Prevention Derivatives, CrowdDoing, Volunteer Insurance Underwriter
A spectrum of forest fire risk prevention approaches are available: from creative new social innovations to well-established interventions. The forest fire risk prevention derivative would first survey existing forest fire prevention interventions in Greater Sacramento with an eye towards which ones might be suitable to support and expand. It would then review global social innovations that might be relevant to Northern California to determine which to replicate. Entities involved in risk management and risk securitisation, from insurers to reinsurers to retrocessionaires, ought to welcome the chance to share liability proportionally through a commons of prevention innovations. The prevention derivative can expand as more institutions and individuals join as contingent payers and impact investors in order prevent a larger portion of collective risk. Payments by private and public institutions to support prevention derivatives can be in-kind, through services, and/or financial

Today forests have undergone decline and were destroyed by modernization,12,000 years ago humans started to farm. Since then, nearly half the world's forests have disappeared, and today we are facing, simultaneously, a global pandemic. and a devastating climate crisis. One of the quickest, most efficient, most cost-effective ways to tackle climate change is by planting trees.Have you planted a tree?
You may be, but many people even not plant a single tree in their lifetime. Let's give back to nature and generate Oxigen.
Challenge: - Ask your 5 friends to accept the challenge plant a tree in 10 days, send a picture to you, and post it on social media. if they fail to plant a tree in 10 days then they have to donate $5 to our organization, we will plant 5 trees by your donor friend's name and Photos will send to you and post pictures on social media.
This campaign will help our "Mission 10 million plantation program".
We are looking for web developer and software, app developer volunteers, strategy planer, Data management, Business Development, and other volunteers who help us with this project.
Join us: "Climate Action Army"
Project Long-Term Impact:
In a time of crisis, let's remember that the planet is closed for repairs. But it's not too late to turn it around and we can rise above all this. If we get those trees into the ground, do you have any idea what will happen? We'll increase the fertility of our soils, provide habitat for wildlife, store all that carbon, help stabilize the climate, and ensure that we have clean air to breathe and pure water to drink. Plant trees for water. Water for life. Are you in?

Creating more local sources of renewable energy helps infrastructure weather high demand periods. Government incentives offer homeowners significant tax credits as an incentive to encourage more involvement. With little awareness about these two benefits, ReJews conducts significant outreach campaigns to best inform eligible communities. Homeowners across NY, NJ, CT, PA, FL, TX, and CA are usually eligible about 40% of the time based on their roof shape, direction facing the sun, and shading from trees or other houses. Volunteers receive $350 for every referral that installs!

Pivot Projects-join a world class innovative project to help shape a more resilient future. The world now faces three overwhelming threats of global disasters: climate change, the coronavirus pandemic, and unknown, transformative socio-economic changes in their aftermath. Fortunately, some of these socio-economic changes, if sustained, will have positive effects in support of climate change mitigation and adaptation. Pivot Projects is an eight-month study using existing models, data and studies to analyse, through a systems approach, what these beneficial socio-economic changes may be under various scenarios to be applicable from December 2020 right up to 2050 and beyond. This study will assess whether it is possible -- through policy changes, financial or other investments -- to leverage these changes in pursuit of reducing the risks of climate change and of future pandemics. The proposed focus will be global, locations and regions chosen by stakeholders, and the results should support and may encourage the development of similar initiatives worldwide.
We have over 100 multidisciplinary volunteer experts already but we need more in the categories listed below. They are being supported by a volunteer team who are contributing and learning, and will use existing models, data and analyses using a systems approach to explore how stimulus funding to support recovery from the COVID 19 pandemic can be targeted at enabling countries to work together to pivot away from today’s high-risk path. We are building a world class AI driven systems model to support the work and volunteers will help to build it working online anywhere. The new direction revealed will be an affordable way to reduce and mitigate future pandemic and climate risks while delivering the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The following countries will be studied with their selected demonstration regions: Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Russia, South Africa, South Korea, United Kingdom, and the United States. We would like extra volunteers, experts and younger, mid-career people from these countries and elsewhere to join us. We meet virtually once a week together on Friday afternoon.
