MUSIC IS THE ANSWER – macht mit und werdet Teil unserer Parade-Crew 2023!Die „Rave The Planet Parade“ ist eine politische Demonstration und die größte Techno-Parade Deutschlands. Mit ca. 300.000 Teilnehmenden fand sie 2022 zum ersten mal statt. Auch 2023 werden wir wieder für den Erhalt der elektronischen Musikkultur, die Anerkennung ihrer kulturellen und gesellschaftlichen Leistungen sowie den Frieden in der Welt demonstrieren.
Doch um die Parade durchführen zu können, sind wir, die rave the planet gGmbH, auf die Hilfe von Freiwilligen angewiesen. Nur mit einem großen, motivierten Team und jeder Menge helfender Hände, können wir dieses Projekt stemmen.

🦺 ORDNER:INNEN
Ordner:innen sorgen für den reibungslosen Ablauf der Demonstration. Sie achten zum Beispiel darauf, dass alle Auflagen und Vorgaben eingehalten werden, koordinieren die Abstände zwischen den Floats, holen Demonstrierende von Laternen oder Ampeln herunter bzw. führen diese auf die Strecke zurück, haben die allgemeine Sicherheitslage im Blick und melden mögliche Gefahrensituationen oder Straftaten etc.
🤝 AWARENESS TEAMS
Awareness bedeutet Achtsamkeit, füreinander da zu sein. Wir möchten, dass die Parade für alle Teilnehmenden ein Safe Space ist, in dem sie sich wohl, willkommen und sicher fühlen. Unser Awareness Team setzt sich für einen respektvollen Umgang miteinander ein, wirkt deeskalierend, hilft Betroffenen im Fall von Diskriminierung , Benachteiligung oder anderem grenzüberschreitenden Verhalten. Es kümmert sich außerdem um Menschen, denen es körperlich oder psychisch nicht gut geht, zum Beispiel in Folge von übermäßigem Alkoholverzehr oder sonstigem Substanzgebrauch. Damit stellt es eine Art Brückenglied zwischen den Demonstrierenden und den Sanitätsdiensten dar, die in medizinischen Notfällen umgehend vom Awareness Team hinzugerufen werden.
💶 SPENDENTEAMS
Rave The Planet ist eine gemeinnützige Organisation. Alle unsere Aktivitäten und Projekte werden zu einem großen Teil aus Spenden finanziert. Deshalb ist unser Spendenteam natürlich auch direkt auf der Parade im Einsatz, um Zuwendungen von den Teilnehmenden zu sammeln.
🌳 ECO TEAM
Eines der größten Probleme bei Demonstrationen und Events ist der Müll, der durch sie entsteht. Wir nehmen unsere Verantwortung an dieser Stelle sehr ernst. Deshalb achten wir schon bei der Parade darauf, dass möglichst wenig Müll anfällt und dieser ordnungsgemäß entsorgt werden kann. Am Sonntag danach organisieren wir deshalb den „Rave The Planet Parade – CLEANUP DAY“, bei dem wir den Tiergarten wieder sauber machen.
Der Berliner Tiergarten ist seit Jahrzehnten der Ort, an dem wir Raver den Traum einer besseren Welt leben. Deshalb möchten wir diesem besonderen Fleckchen Erde unseren Respekt zollen und ihn mit dieser gemeinsamen Aufräumaktion würdigen und pflegen.

Apart from the education and entertainment of our unique plays, we also offer support for the local artistic community by creating development opportunities for young performers. We also help connect the public with emerging artists, offering space for exhibitions and periodic events.

Serving South Calgary and Okotoks regions, we offer flexible volunteer work arrangements with online/virtual options available. Upon successful completion of the volunteer role or project, you can use us as a reference or obtain a letter of reference for your future roles. Volunteer hours may also be used for maintaining your professional designation and/or program studies, which can be verified by your respective professional association or educational institution.

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The Outreach Coordinator promotes the mission of the organization among the local community. This position will organize events, recruit volunteers, or arrange other projects to get the community excited about and invest in the organization.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Understand the annual fundraising strategy to pursue funding from both prospective and established donors, sponsors, and agencies that are aligned with the organization’s mission. • Connect with interested parties and help them understand the mission of the organization, why it matters, and how they will benefit from partnering with the organization.
• Collaborate with other organizations and groups within the community to build partnerships and enhance fundraising and sponsorship activities to increase participant involvement. • Invite existing and new community partners to get involved with special events being organized. • Manage community event planning, including logistics, registration, and event day programming. • Partner with the fundraising team and committee to brainstorm, develop and implement creative strategies to attract sponsorship, using traditional and non-traditional methods. • Partner with the Fundraising team and Social Media Coordinator to use social media and other technology platforms to maximize outreach efforts and activities.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
• Demonstrated work or volunteer experience in cultivating community and connections. • Strong networking and communication skills to establish private and professional networks that recognize the advantages to investing in the organization and its mission.
• Solid understanding of the community, how to connect people, and involve the people you network with to create mutually beneficial experiences in the community.

• Experience working with non-profit organizations and/or experience in a similar role. • Passionate interest in theatre and education of the fine arts in the Calgary community. • Legally entitled to volunteer in Canada, with the ability to meet volunteer screening requirements (e.g. criminal check, including a vulnerable sector verification).
• Class 5 driver’s license considered an asset.

The Fundraising Coordinator will identify new financial sources from private, foundation, and corporate donors, as well as government grants. This position will be responsible for fundraising planning, creating special events for donors, and running other fundraising projects to ensure the organization meets its annual fundraising goals.

• Assist in the planning and coordinating of special events to secure funds and donations. • Partner with the Outreach Coordinator to collaborate with other organizations and groups within the community to build partnerships and enhance fundraising and sponsorship activities. • Partner with the Social Media Coordinator to use social media and other technology platforms to maximize fundraising donations and activities.
