The Self Help Center is excited to be planning its 3rd annual Lip Sync Battle Fundraiser! This year’s theme is “Battle of Bars.” This event allows further funding to help provide support services to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking and elder abuse. Our event will be held on March 6, 2020, at the Clarion Inn (former Parkway Plaza). Cocktail hour will begin at 6 PM; the main event will begin at 7 PM.The Self Help Center provides 24 hour crisis intervention and support services to victims in our community. We offer a 30-day emergency shelter to those who may be in immediate danger, help with protection orders, mental health services, substance use treatment, and youth prevention education programs. Funds raised through this event will help us continue the work of our mission: Prevent-Shelter-Heal.
The Lip Sync Battle will be an exciting evening where six local contestants (from six different local bars) will battle to be the best Lip Sync performer. In addition, we will be having a live auction and program paddle raiser. Our event is funded 100% by community contributions and would not be possible without our generous community partners. We are asking for your support. We welcome sponsorships, cash donations, items for our silent auction packages, or any other support.
Should you choose to donate, we will make sure your name is printed in the event program. Any donation is greatly appreciated. If you should have any question please do not hesitate to contact Micki Jaramillo or Walt Doney at (307) 235-2814 or email me at mjaramillo@shccasper.com

Proving the funding needed to offer poor African village women the 'Hand-up' they need to break the cycle of poverty is a continuing challenge. So as the number of women we support exceed 7000 women in Madagascar, Ghana and Nigeria in 2019, we desperately need help.We need an Annual giving officer who will be responsible for creating our fundraising strategies and organize our donations campaigns.
We need you to carry out research, make connections with both personal donors as well as corporate giving programs, interact and secure funds through grant opportunities. The giving officer will also work on encouraging previous donors to continue to contribute and increase their gifts.
Our volunteers are responsible for all our success. We know you’re out there, we hope you’ll join us to give a Hand-up', and change the course of the lives of women and children who have no one to turn to.
Thank you for reading our request for help, we look forward to welcoming you to give a 'Hand-up'

Keep Coyote Creek Beautiful has the vision of a vibrant Coyote Creek, located in San Jose. We work with many partners to accomplish this by both mobilizing community resources and participation, and by engaging community members to become the creek’s advocates and caretakers. Our nonprofit is now six-years-old, and we are in need of a board member who wants to help raise money for us. The primary focus would be on donor engagement and development, but can include grant writing. Currently, we have about 4 grants amounting to about $200,000. We can grow this with more program grants and large and recurring gifts.
Now would be a good time to join since we just created a 5-year strategic plan. Your knowledge and input would be very beneficial to our organization so that we plan our growth in a structured manner giving careful consideration to the funding sources that will match our organizational growth direction.
