Mr. Odongo is paying it forward, having obtained his education due to the support of an American friend of his mother since the 1990s.The Americans formed a 501(c)(3) corporation, CWPFG International, Inc. in 2025, and are reaching out for funds and for volunteers to advocate for the four programs being conducted by CWPFG:

You'll also help promote ecological connectivity for wildlife such as howler monkeys and green turtles within the Baulas-Conchal Coastal Marine Biological Corridor. Experience hands-on conservation, collaborate with local community leaders, and make a tangible difference. What You'll Be Doing (Volunteer Activities):
Volunteers will have the opportunity to engage in a variety of impactful activities, supporting both wildlife conservation and community initiatives:
Wildlife Monitoring & Research:
- Assist community rangers on day and night patrols to monitor sea turtles, migratory birds, and other crucial wildlife within the national park and surrounding areas.
- Collaborate with researchers by monitoring pollutants like marine debris and light pollution, and observing interactions between domestic pets and local wildlife.
- Participate in implementing ecological monitoring protocols on beautiful sandy and rocky beaches.
- Contribute to reforestation efforts, tree maintenance, and participate in community and beach clean-ups.
Community Engagement & Education:

Why This Project is Important:
- The Las Baulas National Marine Park is a vital sanctuary for many species, including the critically endangered Eastern Tropical Pacific Leatherback Turtle, the Yellow-Naped Parrot, and the endemic Mangrove Hummingbird. It protects over 26,000 marine hectares, globally important wetlands for migratory birds, and crucial coastal nesting sites.
- The Baulas-Conchal Coastal Marine Biological Corridor aims to maintain ecological connectivity for species like howler monkeys and Pacific green turtles, whose habitats are increasingly affected by urban development.
