The purpose for this workshop is to empower and equip our young ladies by hosting this annual workshop with entrepreneurs and women speakers. Special guest speaker Miss America 2019 Nia Franklin will talk to the girls about being your self and not giving up no matter what people say or do to you. They girls will learn how to become more confident, develop social skills and communication is very important. We want to provide this opportunity for girls to be able to be in the presence of people, who have made an impact in society and who can help build them up!

Please join us in our 2019 Camp Iroquois clean up. We are mobilizing to make sure beautiful Camp Iroquois is in top condition for our 2019 summer season. Each year Camp Iroquois serves more than 400 children of all backgrounds and abilities. We can only make this happen with you hands on support and the support of our community members to ensure that their camp experience is the best possible!

This is the Greater Kingsport Family YMCA’s 14th year participating in the national YMCA Healthy Kids Day event. We are hoping to more kids and families in our community by hosting the event off-site in downtown Kingsport on Broad Street and in Glen Bruce Park. This is a free event aimed improving the health and well-being of families by bringing to their attention area activities and organizations that promote a healthy lifestyle!

The Y in Central Maryland is hosting Healthy Kids Day at all Y locations. Y Healthy Kids Day is community event and a great opportunity for Y families to come out for fun games and activities that keep them moving and put a smile on their faces, like a bounce house, obstacle course, face painting, sports stations, crafts and healthy snacks. Volunteers are need to help with set up and breakdown, assisting with fitness activities, or leading arts and crafts.

Opportunity Details

The Fort Bragg Armed Services YMCA is on a mission to provide support to service members and their families through educational, recreational, and social programs. Our family support services include childcare, mentoring, infant support, and the giving of household goods or financial support for lower enlisted families in need.

Currently, we could use any assistance is day-to-day tasks at the organization to help us run smoothly. Filing, folding, organizing, computer work, etc. Any support would be greatly appreciated.

Opportunity Details

365 days each year, volunteers visit Womack Army Medical Hospital on Fort Bragg to deliver gift bags to new moms, E6 and below. Bearing gifts of diapers and wipes, onesies, socks and other age appropriate items, Baby Bundles offers us an opportunity to support junior enlisted soldiers and thier families, who may have difficulty financing the immediate needs of thier newborn. This program began in 2003 when Community Health Nurses noticed service members struggling to support thier young families.
